This Custom Designed and Crafted, One of a Kind Statement Necklace by Artisan Tom Castor features a Collection of Gem carrying, Hand Crafted Ants marching delicately around the Neck. This Signature Tom Castor Neck piece is a blend of skilled artistry, whimsy, and detail at every angle. Hand Chosen Gems adorn the neck in this interesting piece. Natural Unheated Rubies from Burma are set in each ant as brilliant Red eyes. The thirty-eight Round Brilliant Cut Rubies measure 1.25-1.3 mm each and are bezel set in the upside down position for intense flash of deep Red hues. The Rubies have a total weight of 0.57 carats. There are nineteen Hand Crafted and Delicately Textured Ants on the Necklace. The Ants are Red Ants in Rose Gold and Black Ants of Precious Black Rhodium over White Gold. Each of the Ants carries a bezel set Round Brilliant Diamond. The Round Brilliant Diamonds carried by the busy workers are 2 mm each with a total combined weight of 0.57 carat. Additional Diamonds set in the Necklace include four Pear Shape Diamonds of approximately 3 x 2 mm each and a combined weight of 0.32 carat; and a Princess Cut Diamond measuring 3.5 x 3.5 mm with a weight of 0.26 carat. This is a spectacular two sided Antique Jade Diamond Necklace with a magnificent 2 3/4 inch pendant with a carved Lavender and Green Jade in a flower and fruit motif of great beauty. The Jade is set in a 14 Karat White and Yellow gold frame which is set with 44 Round Brilliant Cut Diamonds totaling approximately 2.2 Carats. The pendant is a two sided pendant with the carving of the jade different on each side, and each side of the pendant set with diamonds. The magnificent carving of the green and lavender jade is of the highest quality. It is fully three dimensional with extensive open work throughout. The flowers and fruits are beautifully carved and the curling tendrils of the leaves and vines are stunning. The jade has a shimmering translucence.
