Dimos 22k Gold Museum Copy Pendant with Chain
About the Item
Tampulous. One of the most chosen artifacts for book covers and posters. It’s size and richness of 22 karats gold work and level of difficulty places it among the top exhibits. It can be seen at the Benaki Museum in Athens Greece. It’s estimated mid 5th century BC. The top brown parts it’s hosting a Rodakas (daisy flower) full of filigrees and packed granulations. The middle boat design tightly filled with granulation beads spirals and the center Acrokeramo, followed by a handmade chain ends in acorns and hold by microscopical daisies. A part of the hidden hoop in the back of the piece can be worn as a brooch. A true majestic piece of jewelry but also mobile piece of history.
For this piece we have chosen a square byzantine chain made in Italy in 18 karat gold to be strong and durable with a lobster clasp. The Byzantine work matches the essence of the piece while the square look create some more bold and dynamic match.
