Estate Art Deco Articulated Platinum Diamond Emerald Eye Form Pendant

About the Item

Interesting and distinctive estate Art Deco period platinum diamond and emerald pendant with a central design of a diamond eye framed by emeralds. The generous bale has an unusual feature of opening and closing which allows for wear on a wide ribbon or necklace. Wonderful workmanship with articulation at five points of the pendant. Prized for streamlined, elegant designs and excellent quality Art Deco jewels have become a classic. A pendant such as this beautifully transforms from day to night with a change of a chain- a delicate white gold or platinum for day and a more substantial diamond set one for night. Eye form jewelry dates back to ancient times when it was believed to protect the wearer from envy. The gifting of an eye pendant is symbolic of good luck. Diamonds: H-I, VS, approximately 1 TCW Emeralds: lively vivid green, mixed cut
