About the Item
The center of this 18 karat yellow gold Fairy Tale pendant necklace is a 17.03-carat GRS certified pink Burma spinel. The dimensions of the gem are 17.66 x 13.92 x 7.35 mm.
The spinel has an exquisite liquid light play on its surface, which is incomparable to any other gem's light reflection. Seeing this gem is a new experience that the human perception can never have with any other matter on earth. As the light reflects from its surface in an absolutely unique way, it is different from one spinel gemstone to another, depending on many factors.
This piece is designed by the artist Polya Medvedeva, whose mission for the last 13 years has been to create limited edition jewelry designs. The painter lives and works in Berlin.
The large size of the gem makes its orangy-pink color even more vivid and it looks perfect in any light: day or evening. Its origin is Burma, and the cushion cut was made by a skilled artist. The gem itself is a breathtaking piece of art.
