NCR & Co antique Victorian gold gilt metal long guard chain, with the original swivel dog clip that can be used to attach a pendant or fob. The dog clip was used in Victorian times to hold a pocket watch. Measuring length 151 cm / 51.5 inches, and the clip is length 1.9 cm / .75 inch. It is stamped NCR & Co for N C Reading & Co of Birmingham, England. The beautiful quality chain is soldered on alternate links.
This wonderful antique guard chain can be worn as originally intended, or it would make a fabulous stylish necklace.
