This is a wonderful antique hand carved Rose Quartz Easter Egg in a Silver Gilt Basket pendant or charm. The egg pendant is Hallmarked on both of the bales with the Faberge Workmaster mark of Hjalmar Armfelt – ЯА who was active from 1904-1917. It is also marked with the Russian silver standard 88 with the kokoshnik mark of the ladies head to the right for after 1908, and the "a" alpha mark for St. Petersburg. There are many different colors of jade that are represented in this handbag charm / drop pendant necklace. You have all the colors of the rainbow. Amongst the colors are the more rare apple green, lavender, and "red" Jade. There are also some icy jades in this group. This was an old old piece that we acquired over 20 years ago. It was previously used as a charm hanging on a bird cage to bring good luck. Wearing the jade where it touches your skin will also bring good luck. Natural materials with good colors like this are getting harder and harder to find. As a business stand point, no one in their right mind would make a piece like this because of the large amount of natural jade material needed.
