About the Item

An authentic Otacilia Severa, Rome, Antoninianus AR coin (244-249 AD) set within a custom 18kt gold pendant and bail. Prominently displayed side of coin is the hippopotamus (advancing right), with SAECVLARES AVGG, and IIII in exergue. Obverse side of coin (not displayed) is OTACIL SEVERA AVG, draped bust right, wearing stephane and set upon crescent. A certificate of authenticity will accompany this coin. Measurement is approximately 7/8"W x 3/16"D x 1.5"H.
