About the Item

Modern necklace designed by Takashi Wada (1938-). An impressive ultra modern sculptural necklace, created by the Japanese designer and silversmith Takashi Wada, back in the 1980. This beautiful torque necklace has been crafted with purist geometric patterns in solid sterling silver with high polished finish and blackened parts. Features a tubular necklace with large blackened silver pendant with large spherical ball at the center of the circular form. Fitted with an invisible closure system, very stylish and bold look. Weight: 192.65 Grams, (123.49 Dwt). Size: The inside circumference is 16.5 Inches (42 Cm). Measurements: The drop element is 76.2 mm by 95.25 mm (3 x 3.75 Inches). Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark monogram in japanese characters and signed, "TAKASHI WADA W SILVER". Takashi Wada born in Japan in 1938. He is the author of THE ART OF MAKING JEWELRY, published in 1975. He is very well known for his sculptural organic style and was the winner of numerous awards including the sterling silver design contest in 1971. Hee is considered a force amongst American Modernist Jewelers. Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box. Condition: The overall condition of this necklace is excellent.
