About the Item

This signed, handmade pendant was created in sterling silver, turquoise, bone, and coral by noted Navajo artist, Pete Sierra. Sierra, who studied under Hopi artist Charles Loloma, has created his own highly sought-after style. This gorgeous and distinctive one-of-a-kind authentic Navajo artist piece is composed of bars of (most likely Kingman) turquoise gems, each hand-carved, polished, and cobblestone-set into the gleaming silver mounting. A single bar of antique bone and one square of coral complete the design. On the reverse is the artist's signature. This beautiful pendant does not ship with a chain.

Turquoise & Silver Ring American, Circa 1920s
Located in Southbury, CT
This sleek, graphic turquoise and silver ring was created near the 1920s, and is consistent in design, quality, and materials to rings created by the Zuni nation; however the ring is not signed. And therefore, it cannot be sold as "Native American." Some people prefer to retain the "patina" almost always encountered on rings created by Native Americans. But this has always puzzled me. When Queen Elizabeth toured Africa and wore her favorite diamond crown, that crown was thoroughly cleaned and polished. I don't recall ever seeing Frank Ghery or Elsa Peretti or Paloma Picasso silver jewelry...

Turquoise Nugget Paperclip Silver 52" Necklace, Arts & Crafts Style
Located in Southbury, CT
This turquoise nugget paperclip silver 52" necklace was created in the Arts & Crafts Style, most likely in the 1970s. The 3.73mm wide paperclip silver links are punctuated by the most gorgeous, fascinating, natural turquoise nuggets. The turquoise stones seem to me to be from several different mines, making this something of a turquoise "specimen necklace." Bisbee, possibly Lander Blue...
