Victorian Carved Emerald Cameo and Diamond Pendant Necklace
About the Item
A breathtaking example of 19th-century artistry, this Victorian-era necklace features a carved Colombian emerald cameo weighing approximately 37.26 carats, intricately depicting a classical profile in vibrant green hues. The emerald is framed by an ornate scrolling silver setting adorned with a combination of seven old mine-cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.82 carats and 105 rose and 8/8-cut diamonds adding an additional 0.92 carats. The openwork design and blackened silver contrast beautifully against the warm tones of the 14K yellow gold backing and antique chain. Dated circa 1880, this museum-worthy piece is a celebration of classical elegance and gemstone craftsmanship.
