Vintage 1940s 9ct Gold Heart Locket Necklace
About the Item
This charming vintage heart locket is crafted in 9ct gold and features a bold, faceted geometric pattern across the front. The repeated pyramid-like texture gives the surface a striking, light-catching finish—both tactile and reflective, making it a beautiful piece to wear close to the heart.
The reverse is smooth and polished, stamped with “9CT BK-FT”, indicating the piece is gold back and front. This means both the front and back surfaces are solid 9ct gold, while the inner structure is reinforced with another metal for strength—a popular and trusted technique in mid-century jewellery.
The locket opens to reveal space for two small photographs or keepsakes. It hangs from a fine 9ct gold chain, newly added to complete the look.
