This Antique Edwardian English Dual (Double) Inkstand is a rare find! With feet, frame, ink bases & pen rests, performed in 925 Sterling Silver & featuring a stand of mottled amber colour (resembling colour of calico cloth), made of synthetic faux tortoiseshell with an intricate silver “floral” inlay in the middle & framed by an elaborate border With 2 acid-etched crystal removable ink containers / jars aka inkwells, featuring gorgeous floral embossing throughout & lids with silver inlay illustrating flowers in a vase within a frame, the sterling silver openings featuring a stamp & London hallmarks, including letter date - 1905 Bearing maker’s mark of William Comyns & Sons Inkstand is raised on four feet, each finely detailed & each is bearing hallmarks Dimensions of an item: 19.5cm x 17.5cm (including feet) Height: 5.5cm Despite being antique, this exquisitely crafted article is in beautiful original condition. An epitome of class, sophistication & history, as well as an ultimate collector’s item!

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver fox inkstand; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection. This exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian silver inkstand / desk standish, has a rectangular form. This inkstand is fitted with a gallery, embellished with impressive pierced and applied scrolling foliate ornamentation. The shaped, incurved rims of the body and anterior rim of the sterling silver inkstand are ornamented with a paralleling applied gadroon decorated border. The surface of the fox silver inkstand incorporates a concave oval pen receiver. The body of the inkstand incorporates two ink bottle receivers flanking a rectangular stamp box.
