Green tourmaline and polychrome enamel yellow gold ring circa 1990. *
ABOUT THIS ITEM: #R-DJ21C. Scroll down for detailed specifications. This is a low profile, wide band style ring with a tapering shank. The top features a row of cabochon green tourmalines set vertically to the fingernail, between shoulders decorated with elaborate enamel motifs in blue, green, and red colors that somehow evoque a mystical quality. Is it transmitting a message? Is it a symbol? We don’t know. What we do know is that it is a very attractive and unique looking ring, and it is noteworthy that the enamel, the tourmalines, the gold, everything is in very good condition.
SPECIFICATIONS:
GEMSTONES: 4 buff-top calibrated cut green tourmalines.
METAL: 18-karat yellow gold decorated with enamel.
WEIGHT: 7.7 grams.
RING SIZE: approximately 5 ¾ minus.
MEASUREMENTS: approximately 12 mm wide.
CONDITION: high magnification photographs show considerable design details, and this ring is in good condition, all consistent with age and wear.
