Hallmarked Birmingham 1877 15K opal and diamond 7 stone ring

About the Item

This ring is a classic Victorian 15K, 3 stone carved half hoop design with claw set opals assayed in Birmingham, England, 1877. The ring spotlights three well matched glowing opals with variegated hues of red, green, blue and yellow. Between the opals are pairs of bright white old mine cut diamonds which add a twinkle to the mesmerizing combination of color and sparkle. This Victorian 7 stone, which is a variation of the 3 stone was designed to emphasize the gemstones. The ring is set "a jour", or "open to the day" and can be worn everyday. The combined opal weights are approximately .75 carat. The ring is hand fabricated in 15K yellow gold, and is a size 6 1/2.
