About the Item

Viking gold stamped ring. A large yellow gold ring featuring a curved bombe' shaped plaque, with raised linear detail to the centre and decorated with a series of repeated triangular and circular stamps throughout, the integrated trumpeting shoulders taper to a slim shank terminating to a coiled knot to the reverse. Tested yellow gold, approximately 8.0 grams in weight, circa 9th-11th century AD, accompanied by an Oxford Labs X-ray fluorescence report stating the composition of the metal.
