About the Item

Our Popcorn Garnet Ring delivers a rich pop of green color. Whimsical bridal or stackable fashion three-stone ring in recycled 22k textured gold, featuring green Russian demantoid garnet flanked on both sides by two yellow rose cut diamonds. The garnet and the diamonds are set in bezels evoking the feeling of elegant ancient Roman jewelry. The Classic design is given a modern asymmetrical twist. This ring is hand fabricated. One-of-a-kind. It is beautiful on its own or can be stacked with our Popcorn Tanzanite ring for a grander look. The inspiration for this ring comes from the color and the cut of the stones and ancient manual techniques of jewelry making, such as granulation, fusing, metal forming, and bezel setting. These techniques were introduced by pre-Classical Sumerian, Mycenaean and Minoan cultures and built upon during Greek Classical and Hellenistic periods when naturalistic forms were introduced. AB Jewelry designs are influenced by the skill and the laborious attention to detail paid by the artisans throughout thousands of years of jewelry design. While inspired by nature and history, this one of a kind ring is created for a confident contemporary woman. ---22k solid gold ***I always start out with pure recycled 24k gold, bringing it to 22k concentration by mixing with fine silver and copper. ---Russian Demantoid Garnet ***Of all the garnets demantoid ones are the rarest and the ones mined from Russian Ural mountains are the most desirable. These garnets were first found in 1886 and called demantoid for their diamond-like luster. They became very popular with European aristocracy as demantoid garnets were frequently used by Carl Faberge in his designs. After the 1917 revolution, the mining for these stones stopped and only a small production resumed within the last 20 years. These stones are sought after by serious gem collectors. -2 yellow rose cut diamonds The stone setting measures approximately 12mm by 9mm, the band is 1 3/4mm thick x wide 2mm Ring size 6 Entirely handmade jewelry. I have over 10 years of experience as a goldsmith and produce all the pieces that are sold by AB Jewelry NYC. I stamp the metal and stand behind the quality of the jewelry that comes out of my shop.
