About the Item

Old British ring, Egyptian revival styled with a flower on the top of the crown and lotus Ornaments on the shoulders. Six old European diamond cut Rubies Ø 1.5mm/ 0.015ct each and one rose cut Diamond of about the same size in the center. British hallmarks ,18K , city of Birmingham; letter " M " for 1886. Unknown maker's marks. Apparently this ring has a wash of a higher grade Gold applied over 18K. Size : Ø 5.75 US /16.30 mm. It can be sized. Weight: 2.7 grams. Used fine condition. Patina on metal. Gemstones may often look differently in different light and weather conditions and time of the day, both indoors and outdoors. Stones of the rings photographed alone may look a bit differently when on hand because your finger makes the back side of the stone closed and light no longer can go through and the color becomes different. Stones with closed backs may seem darker than stones with open backs. Such nuances of color perception do not give any excuse to claim item to be not as described. Some buyers tried to make return of the items and to avoid paying shipping and restock expenses claimed that : " color is different from that on image .. " there are inclusions that I didn't notice " "it looks smaller than I expected" .. Unfortunately Internet sales do not allow us to see the items in person before we get them by post. Minor color deviations may be possible.
