About the Item

A ring with the band in solid 18K Yellow Gold featuring elaborate wrought shoulders and crown with claws holding natural marquise cut Opal measuring 15 mm x 8 mm x 4.25 mm deep / ca. 4 ct. accented with 4 rose cut diamonds. This Opal stone shows all the colors of the rainbow with Blue, Green, and Orange as the most dominant colors. Various light conditions make it look differently, it looks orange in artificial light. Images were taken in direct daylight. Three last ones with black background - indoors, indirect sunlight. Not hallmarked. Metal was tested solid 18K Yellow Gold. Made in the late XIX century. Engraved with worn name and date 1899. The Crown is 5 mm high. Size Ø 5.25 US / 15.90 mm. Used in fine condition.
