About the Item

Old German Toi et Moi Ring hand - made ca. 1920s - early 1930s . No hallmarks, metal tested solid Solid 18K / minor part in 14K Yellow Gold. Apparently initially 18K Gold band sized / enlarged in the past using 14K Gold alloy. Top of the crown in White Gold or Silver. Two claw set natural Rubies of Pinky Red color of old European cut Ø 4.25 mm x 2.75 mm deep/ ca 0.36ct . each. / ca. 0.7ctw total. Two bezel set old diamond cut Diamonds ca. Ø 3mm / 0.15 ct each. Shoulders accented with 6 old diamond cut Diamonds: two ca.Ø 2.5mm / 0.08ct each, two 2.25 mm/ 0.06 ct each , and two Ø 1.8 mm / 0.03ct. each. Total weight of diamonds ca.0.64 ctw. All stones with open backs. Size: Ø 9.25 US / 19.22 mm. Sizing is possible for additional payment. Weight: 2.6 grams Used fine condition. Both rubies show very minor chips on facets, one on each stone, visible under x 10 magnification only. While checking this ring my jeweler noticed that usually such damage often occurs in the process of setting of any small stones within multiple small claws that can be quite difficult to handle - while applying some necessary pressure the tip of the tool often slips on metal and snaps the stones unintentionally causing such minor chips. > Most of the items that we sell are not new at all if not stated otherwise. CUSTOM WORK : About Resizing: Resizing of rings can be done on request. The work will be done by experienced professional jeweler. Note: We will not be responsible for any physical/color changes that may occur as a result of heating of the stones during the process of resizing. We will not be responsible if in the process of resizing or customization any stone on the ring becomes loose, if any deformation occurs in general or if band of the ring changes shape or becomes deformed.
