Georgian crystal, garnet and enamel memorial ring. Set with a circular border of sixteen cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced garnets in closed back cut down settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.80 carats, surrounding a central plaque of ivory painted in sepia tone with an urn under a weeping willow tree covered by an oval crystal cabochon, flanked by smooth square shoulders which continue to a solid shank featuring black enamel with the inscription 'ELIZ : LAKE • OB : 3 • OCT : 1775 • AE : 43'. Tested yellow gold, English, circa 1775.
