Victorian Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring
About the Item
Here we have a stunning sapphire and diamond cluster ring. This antique piece features an single oval shaped cushion cut natural unheated sapphire at the centre of the face possessing a bright cornflower blue colour tone. This principle stone is then framed by a halo of chunky old mine cut diamonds around the outer edge. The mid blue of the sapphire is wonderfully complimented by the white radiance of the diamonds before the piece is made complete by a plain polished 18ct yellow gold band.
The head of this ring was expertly converted from a French 19th Century bracelet and crafted onto a more recent band by master antique jewellery restorer and re-designer, Gaetano Chiavetta.
