This fine and impressive antique Essex crystal ring has been crafted in 9k yellow gold.
The ring is ornamented with a feature hand painted Essex crystal reverse intaglio, depicting a 'West Highland Terrier' dog.
The circular frame is ornamented with an applied bead decorated border.
The subtly elevated, substantial flared ring shoulders integrate with the main setting and blend seamlessly with the plain ring shank.
This antique Victorian dress ring has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 9k gold.

This impressive antique 1890s cocktail ring is fine quality set with an impressive hand painted Essex crystal reverse intaglio. The ring is a very good gauge of gold and is in excellent condition with an applied bead decoration.

Five graduated four claw set cushion cut emeralds embellish the space between the amethysts and pearls.
The subtly elevated, flared ring shoulders are embellished with a sharp chased decoration, as are the sides of the setting and shank.
The ring is hallmarked to the interior of the shank with the maker's mark, the 15k gold fineness mark (15.625), the Birmingham Assay Office hallmark (anchor) and the date letter for 1870 (V).
