1.50 Carat Old Cushion Cut Diamond Halo Ring
About the Item
This is a wonderful platinum diamond engagement ring. The centre stone is a 1.50 carat old mine that would have been cut by hand near the turn of the 19th to the 20th century, it has wide facets that create bold and vibrant sparkle as well as vivid fire. At the time, Diamond cutters fashioned diamonds with a large culet in the center which was said to allow more light to refract from the diamond. Today Old Mine cuts are hard to come across but still highly desirable. The centre stone sits in a lovely halo of small round brilliant cut diamonds.
The mount is modern and crafted in an Art deco style.
