✦ Vintage 1940s Transitional Round Diamond Engagement Ring – 18K/14K White Gold – .45ct Center – Size 5.5 ✦
✦ Charming vintage engagement ring crafted with a transitional round brilliant cut diamond in a classic 1940s fishtail illusion head setting. The center diamond is estimated at approximately 0.45 carats, measuring 5.13mm in diameter, and is graded SI2 clarity and H–I color with faint blue fluorescence. The diamond features a shallow crown and lacks a culet, reflecting its transitional cut characteristics.
🡆 Accented by four single-cut diamonds on the shoulders, each approximately 1.70mm. The top of the ring (including the head and shoulders) tests as 18K white gold, while the lower shank—likely resized at some point—tests as 14K white gold (see testing photo).
✦ Condition: Pre-owned vintage. Prong tips exhibit light wear (in fair condition). Sizing evidence present.
