1910s Antique Diamond and Yellow Gold Snake Cocktail Ring

About the Item

A fine and impressive English antique 0.03 carat diamond, 18 karat yellow gold snake ring; part of our diverse antique jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This fine and impressive antique snake ring has been crafted in 18k yellow gold. This yellow gold snake has a smooth finished, sculptured form modelled an entwined snake*. The serpents' head is ornamented with a 0.03Ct Old European round cut diamond. The shoulders and shank are made up from the wound body of the snake. The hallmarks to the interior of the shank include the maker's mark for John Henry Wynn (J.H.W), the gold guarantee mark (crown), the Birmingham Assay Office hallmark (anchor), the mark for 18k gold (18) and the date letter for 1919 (U). This yellow gold snake ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. NOTE* Snakes were a universally popular expression of eternal love or a powerful symbol of wisdom. Condition This antique ring is fine quality, set with a very high color graded old cut diamond. The 18k yellow gold snake ring is a good gauge of gold and is in excellent condition, with very clear full English hallmarks.
