Antique Sapphire and Diamond Toi et Moi Ring
About the Item
A romantic gesture and beautiful piece of jewelry rolled into one, the toi et moi ring came to significance in 1796 when Napoleon gifted Josphine a diamond and sapphire ring with the stones set side my side. Meaning “you and me” in French, the recipient gets to show off two dazzling gemstones in one ring.
Set with a 1.35 carat I color, VVS2 clarity Old European cut diamond and a 2.25 carat deeply saturated blue sapphire set into 15k yellow gold, this ring pays homage to the engagement ring of antiquity.
