About the Item

Art Deco certified 2.5-carat natural sapphire and 2.25-carat diamond cocktail or engagement ring in platinum and yellow gold, by Portuguese jeweler Joaquim Lory & Cª and accompanied by its original maker’s box, 1920s/1930s. This exquisite ring showcases an intricate openwork geometric shield design, meticulously fashioned to encapsulate the geometric glamour synonymous with the era. At its core, a certified natural cushion-shaped sapphire exudes a captivating deep blue hue, securely nestled within an elaborate millegrain setting. Enhancing the sapphire's allure, Old European brilliant-cut diamonds gracefully flank it both above and below, nestled in a similarly detailed setting. These exquisite gemstones are encircled by a river of pave-set old-cut and single-cut diamonds, evoking a radiant display of sparkle and sophistication. Each stone within this glamorous ensemble is meticulously positioned within an open-back platinum collet adorned with open galleries, elevating the interplay of light and highlighting impeccable craftsmanship. The ring's seamless transition extends to a solid shank in yellow gold, marrying structural stability with inherent elegance. Presented with its original maker's box, this ring transcends being just a piece of jewelry; it stands as a testament to the unparalleled craftsmanship and sophistication of its era. A captivating amalgamation of exceptional gemstones, exquisite design, and historical significance, this Art Deco ring embodies the very essence of glamour from a bygone era, rendering it an ageless and cherished addition to any discerning collection.
