Art Deco Natural Sapphire Diamond Platinum Ring
About the Item
Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring. Set to centre with a rectangular emerald-cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 2.10 carats, surrounded by fourteen round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 3.00 carats, and further enhanced by six round single cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.12 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 3.12 carats, to a fancy oval cluster with an intricately pierced gallery and geometric backholing, the ornately carved shoulders leading to a gently tapering D-shape shank. Marked platinum, indistinct maker's mark, circa 1925. UK finger size J.
