About the Item

As dealers of antique jewellery, we've often come across pieces that we've only reluctantly let go. Because the hand-made pieces are usually one of a kind, finding and selling a special piece is always bittersweet: there are many jewels which we've sold years ago, but which we've not been able to forget and find another of. One such piece was a diamond ring dating to the years around 1905. With its delicate and elegant, yet entirely wearable design, we immediately knew it was special. This is why we asked our goldsmith to create a model of it, as close to the antique original as possible. The ring at hand was made from this model in our workshop. It was cast from platinum, which we sustainably used antique material for, and refined by hand using traditional craftsmanship. In its middle, an internally flawless brilliant cut diamond solitaire is set, flanked by smaller diamonds that subtly gleam in the white platinum. Millegrain decor and delicate saw work have been employed to structure the surface. Due to its high quality, durable materials and its relatively flat design, the ring is comfortably wearable on a daily basis. Each ring comes straight from our workshop and though it is as close to an antique piece as any modern ring could come, it's never been worn. It is also available in rose gold, yellow gold or white gold on request. We've nicknamed it 'The Favourite' – perhaps it's soon going to be your favourite, too?
