Marquise shape diamond flanked solitaire ring, circa 1950
About the Item
Marquise shape diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a marquise shape old cut diamond, I colour, SI1 clarity, with a weight of 1.92 carats in an open back claw setting, flanked by two tapered baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.60 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.52 carats, to an impressive flanked solitaire design with curving double claws, a structured gallery and open backholing leading to raised shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shaped shank. Tested platinum, circa 1950, accompanied by The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #2239052037.
