Raymond Yard Art Deco Asscher Cut Diamond Platinum Ring
About the Item
Magnificent Art Deco diamond engagement ring centrally set with a gorgeous Asscher Cut diamond weighing 6.20 carats accompanied by a GIA report with a color grade of H and a clarity grade of VS 2. This perfectly cut diamond has a slightly higher crown than an emerald cut with wider steps on the crown and pavilion giving this Asscher Cut it's unique appearance brilliance and fire. The depth of 65.7 percent has this diamond showing it's full size on the finger.
The Asscher Cut was developed in 1902, the predecessor of the modern day emerald cut diamond and is still an extremely desirable shape today. Antique Asscher Cut diamonds are vary rare and hard to find - unlike the modern day cut Asscher Cut diamonds. This ring was created my the renown American jeweler Raymond Yard and he certainly picked a gem of a diamond for this ring. Flanked by 2 tapered baguettes on each side of the shank, he wanted to create a ring which shows of the pure beauty of the center diamond.
