Vintage 0.99 Carat Old Cut Diamond and Platinum Engagement Ring, Circa 1950s
About the Item
Just imagine wearing such a fantastic piece of history and how many wonderful stories it has to tell.
This romantic engagement ring dates back to around the 1950s and features a striking 0.99ct old European cut diamond at its heart, secured within four carved wide claws.
Sliding down the shoulders are meticulously crafted leaf motifs on either side of the central stone, beautifully decorated with old European cut diamonds and finished with delicate milgrain edges. These dainty diamonds have an estimated combined weight of 0.35 carats.
The ring is further designed with an elegant high polish band that ensures a comfortable wear on the finger.
An exquisite choice that makes an ideal engagement ring for those who love classic jewellery with a romantic twist.
The ring weighs 5.17 grams and is currently UK finger size size 'L 1/2', US '6', but could be altered by a couple of sizes. The band is stamped 'plat'.
