Vintage Emerald-Cut Diamond Solitaire Ring, circa 1960
About the Item
Emerald-cut diamond flanked solitaire ring. Centrally set with an octagonal emerald-cut diamond, H colour, VS1 clarity, with a weight of 4.02 carats in an open back four claw setting, flanked by two tapered baguette diamonds in open back half rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.60 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 4.62 carats, to an impressive solitaire with curving claws, a structured open gallery, and geometric open backholing, leading to raised shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1960, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #2225642726.
