Art Deco Sugarloaf Sapphire and Diamond Ring
About the Item
Here we have a true one-of-a-kind piece crafted during the pinnacle of the Art Deco movement. This platinum ring presents two domineering sugarloaf sapphires at the centre of the face. The term sugarloaf means that the gem has a conical shape with four sides creating a rounded pyramid top whilst the bottom remains flat. In this case, both natural stones are of Ceylon origin and possess a charming midnight blue colour tone which is accentuated by a duo of bright white straight baguette cut diamonds at the centre and a single matching stone at either shoulder. The piece is made complete by a neatly pierced under-gallery and lightly engraved shank.
