Early Victorian 1830s Hair Locket Black Enamel Mourning Ring
About the Item
This is a wonderful 18ct yellow gold mourning ring from the late Georgian era. The ring has been set with a central rectangular window that features a small locket of hair with a border of black enamel. Both the face of the ring and the shoulders of the ring are delicately patterned and feature black enamel detail. The inside of the ring has been hand engraved with the words 'The Life Of Esther Boyal Who Died 4th Mar 1838 Aged 35'.
