French Cut Faux Peridot Golden Ring, CZ, Cathedral Shank, Belle Epoque Style
About the Item
Faux Peridot Golden Ring, French (Princess) Cut, Cubic Zirconia, Cathedral Shank, Belle-Epoque-style revival. three leaf motif on the shoulders of the ring with small, roundcut rhinestones and textured metal.
This one is a stunner. In the right light, you can see the firey glintz of the cubic zirconia, which would not come from natural peridot. The princess cut stone has beautiful faceting and shows off the beauty of the stone in the light-- a nice, watery transparency with the open back on the gorgeous cathedral shank. It's a beautiful shade of olive green contrasting with the polished, yellow goldtone.
Typically with stones of this quality, I assume the metal is plated with 14k gold, but it is untested because testing it would ruin the ring-- which remains in beautiful, wearable condition, albeit with normal wear, since it came from an estate.

- Condition:Polished. Wear consistent with age and use. Freshly polished. If you look really closely, a bit of the plating has worn of on the top of the prongs, but the alloy underneath is a copper color, so it is difficult to see (at least for my eye. See photos.).
