GIA Certified Alexandrite Florentine Engraved Diamond Ring
About the Item
This stunning alexandrite ring is truly one-of-a-kind. Alexandrite possesses a fabulous color-changing phenomenon due to chromium impurities in its crystalline structure. In varying light settings, the alexandrite will change its hue depending on how much yellow light is absorbed within the visible spectrum resulting in varying shades of blue-green to red-purple. This piece is set in solid 18-karat white gold and handcrafted by a family jeweler outside of Florence, Italy. It was made specifically for the dimensions of this stone and is rich with hand-engraved details. The center stone is one natural, GIA-certified alexandrite measuring 1.97 carats. It is surrounded by 30 round, full-cut diamonds measuring .78 carats. The stones grade VS in clarity and E-F in color. The ring tapers from 12.4 to 7.8 mm and is a size 8.
