A STUNNING BEAUX ARTS - VICTORIAN GOLD RING WITH A PAIR OF SEAHORSE, GRIFFIN OR DRAGON WITH A GORGEOUS PERSIAN TURQUOISE CABOCHON IN THE CENTER. AND SET IN 10K GOLD. DATING TO C1890.
The gold workmanship is very fine with great detail. The overall effect of the detailed gold work, the griffin, seahorse, dragon motif and the lovely turquoise in this early antique piece is truly magical. The piece evokes the wonder of the Harry Potter stories so effectively.
The gold is 10K rose gold - so warm and lovely.
The top of the ring dates to the Victorian period, circa 1890, the ring shank is a later addition.
The top of the ring is 11mm by 10mm.
The ring is currently a size 5.75 US (L UK) and can be easily resized if desired.

A superb Victorian - Belle Epoque deeply carved Coral Cameo Ring depicting a nude woman with absolutely magnificent detail and artisanship in a beautiful and elegant Etruscan Revival setting in 14 Karat Gold. The ring dates to circa 1850-1880. The coral is between red and a salmon color - a stunningly beautiful color! The ring features the most beautifully carved high relief coral cameo of a nude woman. The face is exquisite with an angelic cherubic expression. I love the way the artist has created her nude form to gently extend over the border of the ring. The carving is very deeply 3-dimensional attesting to the fine quality of the work. The setting with the four gold beads at the corners is in the Etruscan Revival style.
