About the Item

A citrine and 18 karat gold ring, by Sweden's most important and most versatile modernist designer, Sigurd Persson, c. 1955. This ring is a size 5 and stamped with maker marks SIGP, Swedish hallmarks, and 18k. It is highly collectible and comes with its original box. Persson had a way of showcasing the luminosity of the stones he used. If you look at a variety of his rings, you will see his design inclination towards gold grids with cutouts rising high above the shank, in which he exposes the stone to the full play of light.
