A lively 18-karat gold ring with a beautiful cabochon amethyst designed by Tuk Fischer for Georg Jensen, Circa 1970. The ring is stamped Georg Jensen, Denmark 18k, and numbered 1096.
It measures a size 6 and is sizable. More precisely, the ring measures 0.43" x 0.77" x 0.54".
Tuk Fischer was born in Denmark in 1939. She apprenticed under the goldsmith Poul Warmind and finished in 1961 with a bronze medal. She also attended the Danish School of Arts, Crafts, and Design, graduating in 1964. She designed jewelry for Georg Jensen for their 100th-year exhibition in 1966. In the 1960s, she had exhibitions in London, Brisbane, and Toronto. She once said "Beauty in form is reached through simplicity and rational design."
