About the Item
This exquisite ring has a Georgian Revival sterling silver diamond flower top, with a custom made 14k yellow gold band. The sterling silver flower has a beautiful table cut (flat top) diamond that is collect set in the center of the ring. Around the central diamond are orbiting rose cut diamonds, collet set into an elegant placement and done with excellent craftsmanship. Set in sterling silver, the four delicately arranged orbiting diamonds illuminate the central cluster. Around the cluster is an oval pattern with etched lines that enhance the gold highlights on the silver. The design of the ring is sublime, with handmade details that are unique to this signature piece.
The 14k gold band was custom made to fit the sterling silver top. It makes a nice addition, integrating the beautiful feminine patterning and the balanced composition of the flower top. The band is split into two, allowing for better fitting on the finger. Tiny 1mm rose cut diamonds are nestled into each side of the band, adding a lovely detail to the piece.
The sterling silver flower top contains Dutch hallmarks that date the piece circa the 1950’s. The dutch were known for incorporating Georgian Revival into their jewelry, as seen in this lovely design. We’ve added the 14k gold band to make the flower component wearable as a ring. The band is unmarked but tests as 14k.
The sterling silver flower top measures 1 1/4” x 7/8”. The larger central diamond is approximately 4 x 5 mm; the two smaller diamonds in the central cluster measure 1.5 mm. The ring weighs 10.8 grams.
