A one off Trench Art signet ring that commemorates the French fighting in WWI on the Western Front. Trench art pieces are holders of soldiers memories and reminders of what they had faced. Made out of recycled war materials such as shell casings, spent bullets or whatever came to hand the level of craftsmanship is often amazing considering their circumstances,
This Guerre signet ring was made in trenches by a French soldier. The oval shaped face that has been carved with the word Guerre (French for war) and the dates 14 and 16. While the shoulders feature hand engraved abstract embellishment. This ring is sturdy and in excellent hand made condition. Size 8.75 to 9 Weight 5.4 grms
