18K Gold .90 Carat Old Mine Cut Engagement Ring
About the Item
Part of Kirsten’s Corner Signature Collection, we took an existing diamond from a Victorian brooch and had an 18k gold band made to compliment the stone. The stunning Old Mine Cut diamond has the chunky shape, large sparkly facets, and beautiful light play that Old Mine Cuts are known for. We kept the stone in the original talon prong carriage setting that was part of the antique brooch. The eight prongs of the carriage create a gorgeous basket that holds up the diamond and allows it to be visible from all sides.
The natural antique diamond is 5.7 x 5.5 x 4.7 mm. It is VS1 in clarity and I-J in color. It weighs .90 of a carat by formula. A truly beautiful diamond with great sparkle.
The ring is unmarked but acid tests as 18k gold. The band is 3.6 mm wide and is slightly domed on the outside for a comfort fit that easily glides onto the hand. The ring weighs 5.1 grams.
Currently a size 7.25 but could be resized.
This ring makes a beautiful engagement ring but could also be worn to add sparkle to any occasion!
