Wedding Band Platinum Diamond Eternity Ring 1960s Estate Jewelry Size 10

About the Item

A wedding band made of platinum, featuring diamonds. This vintage circa 1960s eternity ring has a clean, understated design. A row of transitional round brilliant cut diamonds is channel set to create continuous sparkle. This channel setting also allows for a low profile design, making this vintage ring a perfect choice for everyday wear. Its width is slim enough, and it’s an amazing diamond wedding band to place below your engagement ring. This classy vintage eternity band ring is made of platinum (tested), and set with twenty-seven round brilliant cut diamonds of G-H color and VS clarity. Total diamond weight is approximately 1.35 carats (calculated by the formula). The wedding band is 1/8" (3 mm) wide. The platinum diamond ring weighs 3.5 grams, and is size 10. About Engagement Rings and Wedding Bands: Engagement rings and wedding bands have been around for centuries, symbolizing love, commitment, and partnership. The tradition of giving a ring to signify engagement dates back to ancient Rome. Diamonds started appearing in engagement rings in the Middle Ages, but they didn’t become widely popular until the late 19th century. Wedding bands have even older history, with evidence of their use in ancient Egypt. The circular shape was seen as a representation of eternity. When it comes to wearing both rings together, there are no strict rules. A common tradition is to wear the wedding band closest to the heart, followed by the engagement ring. Some people like to match their rings closely in terms of metal or design, while others follow a mix-and-match approach for contrast. The key is to choose rings that feel comfortable together and fit your personal style. If you’re pairing an engagement ring with a wedding band, consider how they sit against each other. Some engagement rings have high settings that allow a band to slide neatly underneath. Others may need a curved or contoured band to fit snugly. If you like symmetry, a classic straight band can complement almost any engagement ring. For a bolder look, an eternity band with diamonds all around can add extra sparkle. At the end of the day, it’s about what feels right for you, whether that’s a perfectly matching set or a more eclectic combination.

About Platinum Jewelry: Purity and durability – these two characteristics define platinum from the rest of the precious metals. From the chemical perspective, platinum is one of the most stable elements. The white color of platinum comes from its purity. While white gold contains an alloy of zinc, copper and nickel, platinum has a pure 95-98% composition. In fact, white gold is yellow gold mixed with other metals and then rhodium plated. Platinum is durable and denser than gold. Platinum jewelry lasts for ages and can be passed down from generation to generation. Platinum’s purity and strength make it relevant to the idea of eternal love. It’s an embodiment of strong feelings and rarity. That’s why platinum engagement rings and platinum wedding bands have been popular ever since. Platinum is also a symbol of status and reputation. It looks subtle and not as obvious as yellow gold. Gemstones set in platinum are not distracting because of the metal’s neutral appearance. The color, brilliance and vibrance of diamonds and colored stones are amplified next to platinum “true white”. About Vintage Jewelry: Vintage jewelry is something we can talk about for days. Since the subject is that big and has multiple aspects to discuss, we’d like to focus on the most important parts of it. So, what is vintage...
