About the Item
A Ulysee Nardin British Military Issue Keyless Lever Wind Deck Watch, made from silver, set in a brass outer cover which is set in a wooden deck box C1940s.
Dial: The perfect white enamel Roman dial signed Ulysee Nardin with blued steel spade hands and blued steel centre second hand. The Military issue number is on the dial as well.
Case: The silver case Swiss hallmarked and signed Ulysee Nardin with polished case back and engraved with Miltary markings H.S./\ 2. The case back is screwed on for extra protection from the damp climate of being at sea.
Movement: A very high quality gilt finished lever movement fully signed Ulysee Nardin jewelled to the centre abor with superb micrometer regulation compensation balance and blued overcoil hairspring.
Ulysee Nardin was amongst a handful of watch companies which was chosen by the British Royal Navy to supply watches to travel on their ships around the world. This example is of a top quality pristine condition and it would make an excellent addition to a collector.
