Also, Notably, the present example has also never been offered in public at auction before and is the only known example of its kind to come to market. Designed with over 110 brilliant round cut diamonds well matched and carefully gem set with radiating sizes of stones to produce a dramatic effect, the present timepiece is a beautiful example of design concepts from the 1960s which combined the art of master gem setting in jewelry and master watchmaking to produce never before attempted haute couture high fashion runway design concepts which were previously inconceivable due to the limited technology available to produce ultra-thin movements thin enough to fit a timepiece movement into a bracelet watch concept. During this timeframe it was becoming one of the most desirable fashion trends in the jewelry and timepiece industries as new watchmaking and gem setting technologies were being introduced and as a result it enabled the most unique and collectible timepieces of the period to be created. Leading design firms such as Chopard & Piaget were the leaders of this new fashion trend of luxury timepieces which focused on unique and elaborate gem set timepiece design concepts that were designed to appear more so as high-end versatile luxury gem set bracelet concepts that could also tell the time, than that of the conventional wristwatch design concepts that society typically came to expect from timepiece design firms in past decades.
