Maison Jansen was a Paris-based interior decoration office founded in 1880 by Dutch-born Jean-Henri Jansen. Jansen is considered the first truly global design firm, serving clients in Europe, Latin America, North America and the Middle East. This House was located at 23, rue de l'Annonciation, Paris, and closed in 1989.
Throughout the firm's history, it employed a traditional style drawing upon European design, but influence of contemporary trends including the Vienna Secession, Modernism, and Art Deco has also appeared in Jansen interiors and in much of the custom furniture the firm produced between 1920 and 1950.
Under Boudin's leadership, Maison Jansen provided services to the royal families of Belgium, Iran, and Serbia; Elsie de Wolfe, and Lady Olive Baillie's Leeds Castle...

Art deco Table Lamp, Sing: Made in Austria "Keramos", 1920 in Ceramic
By Kéramos
Located in Ciudad Autónoma Buenos Aires, C
Table lamp Art deco
Materia: Ceramic
Style: Art Deco
Country: Austria
Keramos was a prominent Austrian ceramic manufacturer, based in Vienna. It was an initiative of three ceramists, Rudolf Wolf, Heinrich Wolf, and Ludwig Rys, who started the company in 1920.
The company specialized in artistic ceramics, producing lamps, figures, vases, boxes, and bowls.
They were known for their Art Deco figures of dancers, elegant women, and animals, with a characteristic style that combined grace and dynamism. Artists like Rudolf Podany and Stefan Dakon (who also worked for Goldscheider) designed many of their pieces.
Throughout its history, spanning over 60 years, Keramos produced around 3000 model designs, created by approximately 60 ceramists.
It participated in numerous exhibitions in Austria and internationally, winning awards (for example, a silver medal at the Paris Art Exhibition in 1925).

Serge Mouille
Instantly recognizable by their long slender armatures and domed, ovoid shades, the best-known floor lamps and other lighting fixtures of Serge Mouille have become emblems of the organic design of the mid-20th century. Along with Jean Prouvé, Mathieu Matégot and others, Mouille brought a fresh, modern aesthetic to metalwork, one of the most tradition-bound mediums in the decorative arts.
Mouille (pronounced: MWEE) was born to a working Parisian family. At age 15, he took up studies in the metalworking atelier of that École des Arts Appliqués, under the tutelage of the goldsmith and sculptor Gabriel Lacroix. After graduating, in 1941, Mouille worked in Lacroix’s studio and began teaching at his alma mater four years later.
In the early 1950s, bothered by the preponderance of new Italian lamps and chandeliers on the market and consumed with the belief that fixtures by Gino Sarfatti and others were unnecessarily complex, Mouille opened a lighting-design workshop. He quickly won commissions from several French schools and libraries. In 1956, the influential Paris gallerist Steph Simon — who also promoted Prouvé, Charlotte Perriand and Isamu Noguchi — began to show Mouille designs, introducing his work to private collectors. Mouille would continue making handcrafted lighting fixtures at a slow but steady pace until 1964, when he stopped working to begin a long course of treatment for tuberculosis. When it was completed, Mouille returned to teaching at the École des Arts Appliqués for the remainder of his career.
With the biomorphic shades and long armatures of his fixtures, Mouille created one of the most engaging and idiosyncratic lighting aesthetics of his time. Though often described as “insect-like,” his pieces have more in common with the fluid, buoyant forms in the paintings of Jean Arp. (Mouille designed several cylindrical or columnar lamps; though highly collectible, those are interesting outliers in his body of work.)
As with Prouvé’s folded...

Untitled Triptych, Hand Embroidery on paper. From the series Partituras
By Ana Seggiaro
Located in Miami Beach, FL
Seggiaro is part of the textile field in an unconventional way, from a non-technical but expressive approach. In exchange, he obtains freedom of action from the needle that allows him to tie, knot, leave half-sewn stitches, and generate volume through the thread. In this way, she makes use of non-traditional uses of embroidery that respond to a more plastic than textile thought.
Seggiaro's reinterprets european artistic traditions, infusing them with her own embroidered mark, drawing inspiration from classic prints by masters such as Albrecht Dürer, Giovanni Battista Piranesi and Bernhard Albinus. Her creative process is both meticulous and layered: she begins by researching historical images, which she then digitally reconfigures into intricate collages that form the basis of each piece. The final compositions are printed onto artistic canvases, where they are enriched with delicate hand embroidery and, more recently, vibrant paintings. This interplay of traditional and contemporary techniques reflects her dynamic artistic evolution: from a pictorial base to a greater use of diverse materials and media, allowing her to create visually appealing and deeply evocative works, focusing on themes such as authorial resignification, the body as cartography, intimacy and imagined landscapes.
