Pair Extraordinary Antique English Sheffield Silverplate 7-lt. Candelabra
By Hawksworth, Eyre & Co. Ltd.
Located in CHARLESTON, SC
This is a PAIR of quite possibly the Finest Antique English Sheffield Silver plated Adam style Candelabra we have ever had in our over 100 years of being in business. Not only are they seven-light and palatial in size (at nearly two feet tall and 15" spread), we have never seen a candelabra branch where the arms can be removed one at a time to allow for different numbers of candles/lights (up to seven). And the manufacture is quite incredible with the seven-light branch not only able to rotate, but if one unscrews the center spiral candle, it reveals a numbered circular form where each arm, carefully numbered, matches a carefully numbered collar where each arm goes (see illustration). The detail on these Corinthian Column Candelabra is crisp and handsome as is the stop-fluted and reeded columns. The branches can also be removed to allow for a tall pair of single candlesticks...
