Ceramic Gold-Plating Sculpture-Series Animal Zodiac- Rat
Located in Beijing, CN
The sculpture is signed and numbered. Edition 20/99. About the Artwork: The Chinese Zodiac can’t be ignored in the traditional culture of China. It’s closely interconnected with the social customs and habits, the aesthetic taste and the opinion of value. The Twelve animals of Year represent the traditional Chinese wisdom that the laws of Nature governs all things and that man must seek harmony with Nature. I created this Series of twelve zodiac animals made of gold and pottery, trying to give the “zodiac”-this long-standing cultural symbols a meaning of the prosperity and the luckiness. –He Wenjue About the artist: He Wenjue was born in 1970 in Hunan Province, China. He received his MA in painting from Jilin Academy of Fine Arts. Member of Chinese Art Association, Member of Chinese Painting Association. The vice-President of Hunan Oil-Painting Association. Contemporary Textured Figurative Painting - Water Series No.2
Located in Beijing, CN
textured Figurative painting- Water Series No.2 by He Wenjue Dimension : 30 x 20cm Material :oil on canvas Date: 2009 About Water Series He Wenjue grew up in Hunan province, China, where the tributaries of the Xiangjiang River surround almost every town. Water nurtures life, and life creates prosperity and hope. In the late 1990s, He Wenjue began to paint inspired by the theme of water, initially prompted by its natural beauty and liquidity. Unlike David Hockney’s renowned pool portrait series, He Wenjue’s paintings display endless expanse of water. Although the surface of water reflects the intense blue colour of the sky, it does not conceal the energy of the water flow: the combination of blue and black makes the water surface look like a strong magnetic black hole. This image generates in the viewers a feeling of anxiety and concern for the swimmers. Even though the combative swimmers, depicted by He Wenjue with reference to Lucian Freud’s expressive style, are carried away by the waves and look pale and weak, however, their naked bodies, still illuminated by an obsidian light, rise and fall between the waves. For He Wenjue, water is a symbol of any kind of living space: the dynamism of the water surface and the unstable nature of the water represent the instability of society in a universal sense, while the swimmers who strive forward represent the individuals who face many difficulties when they are looking for their own place and making every effort to pursue freedom. About the artist: He Wenjue was born in 1970 in Hunan Province, China. He received his MA in painting from Jilin Academy of Fine Arts. Member of Chinese Art Association, Member of Chinese Painting Association. The vice-President of Hunan Oil-Painting Association. Research Fellow of Beijing Academy of China Xieyi Oil Painting. He is currently the vice president of Hunan Oil Painting Society, a member of China Artists Association and a member of Chinese Oil Painting Society. By Yang Dongying
Located in Beijing, CN
Pop Style- Limited Edition Abstract Prints - Spring Rosy Clouds #9 The piece is signed and numbered, limited edition of 99 A.P About Spring Rosy Clouds The highly conceptual series has drawn materials from the rocks of Chinese Gardens. Garden rocks viewed as mountains -the larger world of nature in microcosm, often supplanted actual scenery as sources of inspiration for images of landscape. Whether it’s garden design or Chinese landscape painting, one of the most important considerations is the harmonious arrangement of elements expressing different aspects of yin( metaphor of feminity) and yang...

'Halo Line' Sunset Red 120 Floor Lamp or Color Projector by Mandalaki Studio
By Mandalaki Studio
Located in Beverly Hills, CA
The Halo Project is the result of a long optical research process carried out by the Mandalaki studio whose goal is the union of art with technology. The Halo collection is designed to fit different environments in a delicate way, by creating light installations, having a gentle and compact object that is able to compose a wide projection of nuance, creating an optical effect of deepness. Polished Brass 33 Step Chair by Zhipeng Tan
By Zhipeng Tan
Located in Beverly Hills, CA
Tan’s practice, since graduating from the China Academy of Art, has been focused on the ancient technique of lost-wax casting. This ancient foundry process has created an intersection between Tan’s interest in heritage casting techniques and organic forms. The forms designed by Tan vary from being environmental (water drops, tree roots) to being figurative (spinal cords, pelvic structures). The Lily collection brings together the botanical and human motifs most explicitly. The tension between the two references cause the works to become abstracted and take on a slightly surreal quality, whilst maintaining functionality. The 33 step chair...
