A Very Impressive & Superbly Cast Patinated Bronze Bust of George Stephenson, of generous proportions. Mid Nineteenth Century. Engraved E W Wyon Sculptor and dated 1858 also engraved DELPECH RED. Dressed in classical draperies and looking slightly to the left, ending on its original circular socle on spreading base. Condition: Good original untouched condition, nice surface patination, very small scratch on his chest, see image. Height: (an impressive, entire) 13" (33cm).
